Just like the Moto G series, Motorola’s E series has been in the leaks from the start of this year. Slowly, the leaks have revealed crucial info regarding the design of the handset and now we have something on the specs side of the E series.
A new leak sheds light on the specs of all the three variants. Well, actually, the info is sourced from a tweet of Andri Yatim, who is a well known Motorola tipster. Also, the source had leaked info earlier this year as well and now we have some more from him.
The Moto E5 will have three variants: Moto E5 Plus, Moto E5, and Moto E5 Play. The Moto E5 Plus will be the most premium of the three. The handset will don a 5.8-inch display panel with HD+ resolution and have 32GB and 64GB variants. The handset is supposed to be equipped with a 16MP rear shooter with f/1.75 aperture. The front is said to sport an 8MP f/2.0 aperture as per leaked info. The battery of the handset will be a 5,000mAh power pack.
The Moto E5 will be the standard variant with a 5.5-inch 720p display. So, no 18:9 aspect ratio here. It has a rear camera of 16MP and a front camera of 5MP. The handset will be powered by a 3028mAh battery.
Further, the Moto E5 Play will be on the lowest end of the spec-sheet. It should sport a 5.2-inch display with HD resolution. Further, it is believed to come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Despite that, it should pack in a large 4000mAh battery, according to the source.
Moreover, all regions excluding North America might sport MediaTek SoCs in the case of the Moto E5 Plus. However, no release dates have been set by Motorola for the launch of this year’s E or G series.
