VIVO launches entry-level Y53i in India

Few days after it released the VIVO Y9 Youth edition in India, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has released another device, the VIVO Y53i in the India mobile market. The device offering entry-level specifications is decently priced at Rs 7,990, and should slug it out with other entry-level devices, including the  Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Nokia 2.

Being an entry-level device, the VIVO Y53i much like the base VIVO Y53 announced about a year ago offers specifications expected of devices on that level.

Another drawback of the VIVO Y53i is the OS, the device boots Android 6 Marshmallow out of the box, and is powered by a 2500mAh battery w. It comes fitted with an 8MP rear camera,  a 5MP camera in front for selfies with the Face Unlock feature, but without the rear/front fingerprint scanner.

Available in Gold color only, the device comes with full connectivity options including dual SIM supports, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. The VIVO Y53i is available via offline retail channels in India at Rs. 7990 (MRP Rs. 8990)
