Chinese smartphone maker,Ā  Gionee,Ā  today introduced two new smartphones, theĀ Gionee F205 and Gionee S11 LiteĀ to the Indian market as expected.Ā Both devices were first announced along with some four other smartphonesĀ at a single launch event in China a couple of months back. Both Gionee F205 and Gionee S11 Lite will be available from today only via offline stores at a price of Rs. 8,999 ($135) and Rs. 13,999 ($210) in that order.

The major selling points of both devices include FullView Displays (with 18:9 aspect ratio), Face Unlock, Bokeh effect, Private Space 2.0, App Lock, and App Clone features. Both devices sadly boot Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) withĀ Amigo OS 5.0 out of the box, with no promise of a possible upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Starting off with the most basic of the duo, the Gionee F205 is made ofĀ an all-metal body with rounded corners andĀ dual silver antenna lines. It comes fitted withĀ 5.45-inch FullView Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9,Ā a 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Beneath that is aĀ quad-core MediaTek processor mated with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage.

Powered by aĀ 2,670mAh battery, the Gionee F205 major highlight is theĀ 5MP front camera coupled with the Bokeh mode, Group selfie feature, and Backlight. It has a single 8MP rear camera with LED flash.

The Gionee S11 Lite, unlike the F205, the Gionee S11 lite sports the reflective design as well as the 3D four-curved glass as with the Gionee F6, but with improved internal configurations.

It flaunts a slightly larger 5.7ā€ 1440 x 720 FullView display with Gorilla Glass protection and also ditches the MediaTek chipset in favor of aĀ Snapdragon 430 processor, with 4GB of RAM andĀ 32GB of expandable storage.

Powered by a slightly higher 3030mAh battery, the Gionee S11 lite, unlike the F205 comes with a dual rear camera setup – a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth effect, while a 16MP sensor with support for Bokeh selfies and a Face Beauty Mode sits above the display.

The Gionee F205 is available in Rose,Ā Black, and Blue colorĀ options, while the Gionee s11 lite is available in Black, Gold, and Dark Blue color options.
