Earlier in the month, Apple announced the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED special Edition phones as part of its partnership with (PRODUCT) RED, an advocacy group dedicated to combating HIV/AIDS in Africa. While both devices are already available in countries such as Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the UK and the US, the devices are now available to buy from authorised Apple reseller starting from April 27, while Flipkart India has also switched on the pre-order button, with shipping slated for April May 1.
Apple is offering both devices in 64GB and 256GB storage options. You can get the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED edition with 64G storage for Rs.67,940/ $1,019 and Rs.77,560 / $1,164, while the 256GB variant of both devices carries price tags of Rs.81,500/ $1,223 and Rs.91,110/ $1,367 in that order. Flipkart is already accepting pre-orders and should begin shipping from May 1, while you can already walk into any of authorized Apple retailers to get the devices.
Outside of the new coloration, both devices are virtually the same as Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. They both sport a sleek glass enclosure, now in red, with a matching aluminum band and a sleek black front.
