The Vivo X21 UD is all set to be launched on the 29th of May in India. Vivo sent out invitations for the same with an image that clearly gives a shout out to an X-series smartphone with a unique fingerprint scanner, aka the X21 UD. The phone was first unveiled in China in March after which it ended up on the Singapore market at the start of this month.
The invite has a big “X” with a fingerprint sitting right in the middle. Vivo is clearly talking about their under-the-display fingerprint scanner. Vivo might unveil the other phones that are part of the X-series, X21 and the recently spotted X21i. The X20 UD never saw a release in India, so the X21 UD would be the first phone without a fingerprint scanner to hit the Indian shore. As far as the pricing is concerned, the Chinese variant retails at ~$570 (~Rs. 39,000). Expect a deviation of 1-2k in the Indian market
The Vivo X21 UD features a 6.28-inch full screen HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) display. The display has a 19:9 aspect ratio thanks to the thin bezels and notch up front. The internals include Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. 64GB and 128GB storage variants with support for expansion are available. The connectivity suite has the usual set of features, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 8012.11ac, GPS, and GSM bands depending on the market. Powering the X21 UD is a 3200mAh battery with support for fast charging and Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.0.
