Huawei’s P20 Lite lands in Malaysia as the Nova 3E

Huawei brings their best mid-range device to Malaysia

Huawei’s presence in Malaysia is pretty incredible to say the least. The company constantly commands attention from everyone with their huge marketing campaigns and whatnot. The result is a huge amount of success for Huawei on Malaysian shores, especially in the mid-range market. Hence, it’s no surprise that Malaysia is finally receiving the Huawei P20 Lite, albeit as the Nova 3E instead.

Since it’s basically the P20 Lite, you already know what to expect from the device. There’s the 5.84-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display, the Kirin 659 chipset and a pretty good 16MP+2MP rear camera combo. There’s also 4GB of RAM and a whopping 128GB of internal storage, a huge amount for a mid-range device. The front camera’s also a pretty impressive affair with 16MP unit sitting in the Nova 3E’s notch.

Gizchina News of the week

For those who happen to be interested, the Huawei Nova 3E will be available for purchase from the 25th of May. Although the phone retails at RM1,399, Huawei is offering an RM79 discount on the phone until 31 May, effectively lowering the price down to RM1,320. Those who purchase the Nova 3E early will also receive a Huawei tripod selfie stick worth RM68, while stocks last.

There’s no doubt the Nova 3E will see stiff competition from companies like Oppo and Xiaomi who also have a huge presence in Malaysia. Regardless, we still expect the device to do extremely well as most other Huawei devices do. It’s certainly an interesting proposition, especially at such a price point.
