Vivo X21 with first in-display fingerprint reader reaches Indian shores

VIVO X21

The Vivo X21 UD isn’t exactly a new smartphone in China but it is in India. Vivo has chopped off the ‘UD’ wording from the moniker to launch the same smartphone in India. The Vivo X21 is primarily known for the first ever in-display fingerprint reader on any commercial smartphone. In India, the handset is priced a hefty Rs 35,990.

The Vivo X21 does pack impressive internals making it a good mid-ranger. It rocks a Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB of RAM and an ample 128GB of storage. This is further expandable to 256GB via the micro SD card slot. The front of the Vivo X21 is dominated by a notch-toting 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. Obviously, the notch means an aspect ratio of 19:9. However, the handset also boasts a massive 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio second only to Vivo’s own Apex.
