WWDC 2018: tvOS 12 & Apple TV 4K Gets New Features


American manufacturing giant, Apple, announced a couple of new features for iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS at its annual developer conference, WWDC 2018. In addition, Apple TV 4K is getting some new features while the company has also announced aerial screensavers for the development of space technology.

Apple has just added Dolby Atmos audio to its TV 4K which has now made the product to be the “only streaming player to be both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos certified.” Charter Communications will be involved in providing this TV to potential users and the company (Apple) claims that live channels and other on-demand programmes will be available via the new the new Spectrum TV app on Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone.

tvOS 12

Apple’s tvOS 12 is getting a new Zero Sign-on feature. With this, users can simply identify the broadband network, and automatically sign in to get access to their accounts. Charter will be the first to be compatible with Zero Sign-on sometime this year with other providers scheduled to follow at a later date.  In addition, the tvOS 12 will now support AutoFill passwords saved on iOS 12 and multiple home control systems will be able to control Apple TV.

Aerial Screensavers

With this announcement, Apple is venturing into space technology. Apple aligned with the International Space Station National Lab and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space to unveil the new aerial screensavers which have been filmed in 4K HDR quality by NASA astronauts from space. According to them, there is currently a good intractive location information.
