Storage configurations vary from 64GB, to 128GB and 256GB, with a starting price of INR 29,999 ($438) for the 6GB/64GB variant, INR 32,999 ($482) for the 8GB/128GB model and INR 36,999 ($540) for the the specc’ed out configuration packing a whopping 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

These price tags make the ZenFone 5z one of the cheapest smartphones powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, even cheaper than the once called “flagship killer” OnePlus 6. The OnePlus 6 will indeed set you back at least INR 34,999 ($510) for the standard 6GB/64GB version (in India).

It’s quite impressive what Asus was able to do, bringing the price down and thus challenging the OnePlus 6. Even more so considering that the ZenFone 5Z is probably going to beat the latter as far as picture quality goes, but we’ll have to wait for an actual comparison before giving it to Asus.
