After rebranding the Galaxy A6 (2018) as the Galaxy On6 for the Indian market, Samsung has now silently launched the Galaxy A6+ in its home country as the Samsung Galaxy Jean. A check on Samsung’s official website indicates the device is the same as the A6+ 2018 with exactly the same model number as that of the standard A6+, the Galaxy jean, however, has a somewhat lower RAM and memory size (3GB RAM +32GB storage) as against the 4GB RAM+64GB storage combination of the Galaxy A6+.
The Samsung Galaxy Jean is exclusive to South Korean carrier KT for 440,000 won or around $400 in Black and Lavender color options.
The Galaxy Jean parades a sleek metal design that promises improved durability and comfortable grip for maximum usability and comes fitted with a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, while there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 3GB and 4GB RAM under the hood. Storage options include 32GB and 64GB and are both expandable up to 256GB using microSD card.
The main selling point of the Galaxy Jean is its 16MP+5MP rear camera setup, coupled with a single 24-MP selfie camera with LED flash.
Other noteworthy specs include Face Recognition, Fingerprint scanning, App Pair to pair two apps, halving time and doubling enjoyment, Android Oreo and a 3500mAh battery.
