Razer Phone is coming to India, reiterates Razer CEO on Twitter

Razer announced the first so-called “gaming smartphone” in November 2017 calling it the Razer Phone. However, the handset has been available in select countries across the globe even as of July 2018. Now, it looks certain that the handset will arrive in India after almost 8 months. Razer had previously also declared its intention to bring the gaming smartphone to India, however, no concrete steps have yet been taken in that direction.

The new revelation comes after Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan confirmed this in a tweet to Mr Phone editor Ershad Kaleebullah. The CEO’s tweet was just a follow up of a conversation between the Mr Phone editor and Anuj Sharma over the 24-bit DAC that comes inside the USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack that is bundled with the Razer Phone.

Having said that, there are still no launch dates and not even a launch window that we can be sure of to see the first gaming phone in India. The Razer Phone’s exceptional qualities include a display with 120Hz refresh rate also called “Ultramotion”. It also has insanely good front firing speakers and the breathing Razer Logo at the back. It comes with a Snapdragon 835 chip which is already a year old. Meanwhile, Asus will also be launching its ROG gaming smartphone in India soon. Both the phones will not be coming cheap but Asus will be much more costly than the Razer phone.
