TENAA listing shows an affordable Find X might be close to launch

Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition

A new Oppo smartphone with model number PAHM00 has passed TENAA in China a few days ago. And from what appears in the listing, it sure looks interesting. The handset clearly has curved edges on the display, as spotted by MySmartPrice, however, we’re unable to gleam its rear design. Despite that, the front design makes it pretty obvious that this is actually a curved display phone.

Although we don’t have any other specifications of the smartphone, it has the same TD-LTE connectivity option as the Find X. However, the same Oppo PAHM00 was also spotted Geekbench earlier. Going by that benchmark finding, the mystery Oppo device had a Snapdragon 835 as its brains and 8GB of RAM. This would mean that the device could be more affordable than the 999 Euro Find X. However, we can not guarantee that it will end up with the Snapdragon 835, or even a slide-out camera, but a curved display is very likely. Maybe Oppo could launch this device as a completely new smartphone skipping some expensive features like Vivo did with the Nex A.

As for the Find X, it recently created a sensation in China as it broke sales records on major e-commerce platforms. The handset is priced 4,999 Yuan ($749) for the standard variant. The handset is also set to launch in the UK and recently released in India for Rs 59,990.

The Find X comes with a motorized camera slot that slides up from inside the top edge of the phone. It also has O-Face, and a curved AMOLED display and flagship specifications. It may not be the perfect phone but is the most elegantly built device from Oppo this year.
