The development of 5G technology has gone into advanced stages and as of now, a number of manufacturers are looking to unveil a 5G smartphone soon. Huawei has been at the hub of 5G tech development but another Chinese manufacturer, OnePlus, may have shown its interest to develop a 5G device.

Today, OnePlus founder, Liu Zuohu, took to Weibo to appreciate Qualcomm’s development of 5G technology. He said that the journey so far is quite encouraging and heĀ looks forward to next yearās 5G product launch which will attract many users. FromĀ Liu Zuohu’s statement, it appears that OnePlus will be releasing a 5G device in addition to numerous OEMs which have already registered their interest in 5G devices.
Liu Zuohu also said that the development of 5G technology is not as advanced as everyone thinks and this rules out the possibility of an early launch. In addition, 5G devices will be less as fast as advertised so we shouldn’tĀ keep a “very high” expectation. If OnePlus is to release a 5G smartphone next year, then we expect it to be in theĀ OnePlus 7 series.
