6.1-inch Apple iPhone not Getting a Red Variant?

iPhone X

A report by the Japanese publication, Macotakara has claimed that the upcoming 6.1-inch 2018 Apple iPhone won’t get a Red variant. But it will be available in five colours at launch: White, Black, Flash Yellow, Bright Orange, Electronic Blue and Taupe/Gold. The last time I heard of Apple going crazy with colours was with the iPhone 5C years ago.

Gizchina News of the week

The Red colour variant of any Apple iPhone comes usually a few months after the launch. The Red variant is part of the Cupertino based tech behemoth’s strategy to promote and support RED, an organisation that campaigns to fight HIV and AIDS in Africa. The exclusion of the Red variant might be due to a few reasons The first one that comes to mind is Apple terminating its involvement in RED, or maybe, Apple is trying to figure out a new approach to support the organisation. According to sources, the colours of the next iPhone will apparently be based on the colours of the iPhone X’s current array of leather cases.

An earlier report had claimed that the next iPhone will be available in three new colours. The report from Macotakara confirms the same. We cannot say for sure if this report is true so I suggest you take this one with a pinch of salt.
