Recently, we reported that a new flagship-grade and ultra-thin rugged phones was going to get unveiled by ioutdoor. Today, the phone maker published a short introduction video about the smartphone – the ioutdoor X. Let’s now check out of the company is able to change our conception of what tri-proof phones look like!
From the video above, one of the most shocking details we can see is probably its thickness. Although we can’t get a precise number, the ioutdoor x is obviously different from heavy style of the ordinary rugged phones, looking rather slim, very unique and sleek. The ioutdoor X adopts the popular 18:9 full screen design, which greatly increases the screen ratio; meanwhile the rest of the phone appears to be quite redefined with fashionable red accents and a classic black main surface. The power and rocker buttons have been placed both on the right side, as we’re mostly used to. Meanwhile the metal frame around the body gives is a premium feel, along with the high-quality Bayer TPU back cover.
Watching the video we also get some of its main specifications. Such as the currently highest international protection rating for rugged phones – IP68. As far as durability, the handset has been equipped with a 5th generation Corning Gorilla Glass, which is known for its excellent resistance to drops and scratches. The phone can also survive in -40℃ to 70℃ weather, which is quite impressive.
The ioutdoor X rugged phone does of course sport a GPS + GLONASSS dual navigation system making one of the best devices for outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing and whatnot.
