Yesterday, we reported the new color version of Xiaomi’s largest screen smartphone will go on sale on August 24. Today, as scheduled, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Blue became available for purchase at a price tag of 1999 yuan ($290).
This color variant is available only with a 6GB + 8GB memory combination. The rest of the features of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Blue remain the same. This simply means our protagonist comes with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160×1080. As we said, this is the largest screen phone of Xiaomi. That’s why many call it the ‘Big Mac’ screen. However, the dimensions don’t differ much from the 6.3-inch smartphone. So single-hand operations won’t cause any problem at all.
The second selling point of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Blue is the large battery of 5500mAh capacity, which can play videos for 17 hours, play games for 10 hours, or play music for 233 hours. Not only that, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Blue supports reverse charging. Thus, it can be used to supply power to other devices.
In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Blue is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chip. As said, the SoC is paired with a 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM and runs on MIUI system based on Android deep customization.
At last, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Blue sports an 8MP front camera as well as a rear dual-camera using a 12MP + 5MP sensors combination. The 12MP main lens has a unit pixel area of 1.4μm, supports Dual PD dual-core focus, AI intelligent scene recognition, and can identify 206 kinds of camera scenes and optimize them in real time.
