At the end of July, OUKITEL announced the rugged 10000mAh battery smartphone WP2. As a combination of a super large battery and tri-proof features, the WP2 caught the interest from fans and media. The smartphone does in fact feature military grade durability, super long battery life, a big and tall display and a dual-lens camera setup. These factors are mostly what made the WP2 one of the most rugged unique phones in the past months.
The phone’s tough body does of course protect it from water, but that’s not all it can withstand. This week, OUKITEL did indeed release a new video to show its dust-proof and waterproof features. Check out the below video to see how it survives from different kinds of mixture.
So, the video shows how the WP2 survives from many kinds of torture tests. It was tested not only in concretes, but also in edible powder mixture. No matter beach sand, lime and concrete mixture, soil mud, oil painting, or coffee and sesame paste mixture, WP2 has no issues surviving them all. For water or dusts, as long as there is a slight gap on the phone, they will invade into the phone and affect the normal running of the device. Thus seamless connection must be exquisitely adopted on the body to ensure full protection and achieve high standard of tri-proof phone.
OUKITEL adopted Polystyrene Ebonite and Polyethylene Flexible Glue for the external body, by double color molding tech, perfectly combined them together to achieve seamless connection. While the insulation spacer below the screws will provide protection of the screw gaps. WP2 also uses a waterproof receiver and speaker, seamlessly protected USB ports and SIM card tray to achieve an all round protection of the whole body.
