Galaxy J6 Prime 360-degree renders appear online

We’ve recently seen the Galaxy J6 Prime spring up on Samsung India’s portal. Now, detailed 360-degree renders have been posted online by 91Mobiles in collaboration with OnLeaks giving us a very detailed look of the handset. Earlier, the Galaxy J6 Prime appeared on Samsung’s Vietnam portal on the support page section. Regardless, here’s a detailed look at the renders.

Surprisingly, the J6 Prime CAD render throws up quite a few surprises. Mainly, the absence of a dedicated fingerprint reader is what will catch your attention first. According to 91Mobiles, it is the power button that doubles up as the biometric sensor. Now, that is very strange of Samsung as we don’t remember any other Samsung smartphone that has this implementation. And when it appears suddenly out of nowhere on a J series device, it is definitely a strange development. Besides that, it’s got a 6-inch display and the dimensions are 161.6 x 77mm while weight is 8.2mm. It’s also got a dual camera (J6 has single) at the back whereas the build itself looks like polycarbonate. But we’re not sure about it. There’s a Micro-USB setup at the bottom and the speaker grill is on the sides above the volume rockers.

The J6 Prime which could be named as J6 Plus in other regions is tipped to feature a Snapdragon processor, likely SD450 instead of the usual Exynos 7870. RAM and storage variants are now thought to be the same as the Galaxy J6 while pricing will definitely be higher for the upcoming device.

The launch whereabouts are not official yet but considering the way the handset is appearing all over the place, it could be right around the corner.
