The Meizu 16th gets a brand new colour option today with the Aurora Blue! Announced alongside their other new devices, the Meizu 16th Aurora Blue is a new variant of the flagship device, meant to be one of those hip and cool gradient colour options. It’s a stunning look for the device, and Meizu is clearly very proud of their achievement.
To obtain this look, Meizu utilized an advanced photo-sputtering process, which allows the preset color plate onto the glass and reflect the light to give the gradient effect. It’s supposedly much better compared to other alternatives like the one on Huawei P20, though it’s also 300% costlier.
The Meizu 16th Aurora Blue comes with a Snapdragon 845, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of native storage and an on-screen fingerprint reader. The display is a 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. The rear features a 12MP + 20MP dual setup and there’s a single 20MP sensor sitting on the front. While Meizu claims the process to achieve this colour is much costlier than normal, the pricing isn’t too far off the normal models. The 6GB + 64GB model is 2798 yuan ($408), the 6GB + 128GB for 3098 yuan ($452) and the 8GB + 128GB for 3398 yuan ($496). For the Plus models, the prices are 6GB + 64GB model for 3298 yuan ($481), 6GB + 128GB for 3598 yuan ($525) and 6GB + 256GB for 4098 yuan ($598).
