India’s two big etailers – Flipkart and Amazon are currently holding their annual sale event with a lot of sales discounts on offer. Xiaomi, obviously in a bid to get more sales, has chimed in with the timely release of the 6GB RAM +128GB storage variant of its Mi A2 mid-ranger as reported earlier yesterday. Xiaomi earlier this year announced the Xiaomi Mi A2 in both 4GB and 6GB, but while the base variant was immediately released for sale, the Chinse giant never released the variant with 6GB.
The top-end Xiaomi Mi A2 with 6GB+128GB RAM storage combination is now on sale in India via Amazon.in at a starting price of Rs. 17,999/ $245 s tarting today 12 noon. Xiaomi says the Rs. 17,999 price tag is for a limited period (undisclosed) after which it might get increased. Xiaomi is also giving the base variant with 4GB RAM a slight price cut, probably a temporary one, and it is to the tone of Rs, 2,000/$27 . So the Mi A2 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is now on offer at Rs. 14,999/ $205
Aside from the RAMand storage differences, the Mi A2 6GB RAM version is basically the same with the base 4GB RAM version. It is a great mid-range device that should appeal especially to photo freaks. It comes fitted with a 12MP Sony IMX486 coupled with another 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor both of which have a f/1.75 aperture and large pixel size. With the “Super Pixel” feature on the 20MP snapper, you can be sure of brighter images and this feature needs to be turned manually in the camera app. In addition, the selfie camera is another bombshell. It sports a 20MP with soft selfie light and auto HDR. You can check the Mi A2 camera samples and other details here.
