New leak reveals Samsung’s galaxy A50 key specs

Aside the Galaxy S10, Galaxy Fold, Samsung in the coming year is expected to introduce two mid-range devices – the Galaxy M series, and a new Galaxy A series comprising of the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50. All of these devices have in the past week been subjects of many leaks and rumors, and a new leak from out of China has revealed the Galaxy A50 Key specs.

While it was earlier rumored that the device will come with a beefy 4,000 mAh battery and a 24MP rear camera, the latest leak suggests the Galaxy A50 will equally get a 24-megapixel front-facing camera, fueling the speculations that the 24MP rear unit may be joined by a depth sensor since it may not be plausible fitting the device with the same sensor on either side.

The leak further claims that the Galaxy A50 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner while noting that it Samsung would be using the optical in-screen fingerprint reader instead of the more accurate ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner reserved for more premium flagships like the upcoming Galaxy S10.

As revealed by its recent Geekbench appearance, the Galaxy A50 is tipped to come with Samsung’s Exynos 9610 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device may also have an additional variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

We are not sure when the device will go official, however, there are indications it won’t arrive until the launch of the upcoming flagship Galaxy S10.
