Oppo unveils SuperVOOC car charger, retails for $30


Apparently, Oppo is concerned with the speed that users are able to charge their Oppo handsets while driving a car. After all, what’s the benefit of having a SuperVOOC charging compatible device, if you’re limited to a weak/slow standard car chargers? Well, the company wants to deliver a decent charging time with their brand new SuperVOOC car charger.

The new gadget is made of carbon finish in its upper part and has an orange ring with LED lights that glow when a device is plugged to it. Aside from the SuperVOOC capabilities, it is a standard car charger with a USB port. However, the main selling point of this charger will be its 50W charging that will be compatible Oppo Find X Flash Edition, Oppo R17 Pro and Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition.

Other devices such as Oppo R17, R15, R15 Pro, and R11s will also support this charger, but it will be limited to VOOC that fills the battery at a 20W rate. As you might expect, whatever else smartphone, you’ll be able to charge it at a 5V/2A rate.

The Oppo SuperVOOC car charger retails for about 199 Yuan (~$20/€25). The package brings only the charger, so you’ll need to use the original cable that came along with the smartphone.
