In addition to the Xperia 1, Sony mobile at its MWC event this morning also refreshed it mid-range series with the launch of the Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 plus. Both devices are identical and are banking on the Xperia 1 most distinctive feature – the tall 21:9 displays.
Both devices feature metal unibody designs with dual rear cameras and Sonys usual side mounted fingerprint sensor, though neither are waterproof. The Xperia 10 is the most compact of the duo flaunting a 6-inch 21:9 LCD Full HD+ resolution, while the Xperia 10 Plus retains the flagship Xperia 6.5-inches display, but with lesser resolution and the older generation Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Unlike the flagship Xperia 1, both mid-range devices feature a dual rear camera setup – Xperia 10 (13MP+5MP) and Xperia 10 Plus (12MP+8MP) with 2X optical zoom for Images.
The smaller Xperia 10 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage, while the plus variant takes it up a notch higher with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage expandable up to 512GB. Expectedly, both devices run Android 9 with Sony’s software that brings features such as the Multi-Window user interface that allows for two apps running simultaneously at the top and bottom of the display.
