Huawei: We are the most transparent company in the world

Huawei

Today, Huawei announced at a press conference in Shenzhen that it filed a lawsuit against the constitutionality of Article 889 of the US Defense Act of 2019 in a United States Federal Court, requesting the court to determine if the sales restriction clause on Huawei is constitutional. At the press conference, Huawei’s global cybersecurity and privacy officer, John Suffolk, said that Huawei is the most transparent company in the world and that Huawei has a good track record in this regard.

He added, “let me just make this fact very clear the idea that a product is completely derived from Huawei is not entirely correct…Huawei may have a name on a product, but usually, only about 30% of its parts come from Huawei”. John Suffolk stressed that no attacks, data breaches or defects were caused by Huawei. Huawei integrates design security mechanisms into product development and deployment. This mechanism sets a high standard and few companies can meet this standard.

The Huawei Global Cyber Security and Privacy Officer also said: “We are the most open, transparent and most censored company in the world. We are proud of this. The government, customers and their professional teams have fully verified Huawei. We are proud. The management mechanism for Huawei can prove to be the most demanding and most stringent mechanism in the world.”

I’d be more worried about the other companies that aren’t saying anything….
