Redmi Y3 official teaser video shows off the design ahead of launch

Redmi Y3

The upcoming Redmi Y3 has been teased in a new video that highlights its design. The fresh teaser comes just hours after the company released a video teaser highlighting its 4000mAh battery capacity. The company in one of its previous teasers revealed gradient design of the device, and now we know what the device looks like in terms of design courtesy of the latest teaser video.

The video reveals the Redmi Y3 will get a textured back fitted with a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner, while there is a waterdrop notch display which is surrounded by thin bezels on three sides, and a thicker chin as revealed earlier via a leak from Pricekart.

Besides the device’s design, the video also showcases the device’s durability by subjecting it to an improvised tumble-down-the-stairs “durability challenge” from which it emerged unscratched, though we do not advice you subject your device to such a test. The Redmi Y3 is expected to go official on April 24 and is said to be the sequel to the Redmi Y2 which was announced back in 20108.

Gizchina News of the week

The Redmi Y series is the firm’s camera focused series and while the previous generation (Redmi Y2) came with a 16Mp front camera, the Redmi Y3is set to launch with a 32MP front camera which makes it the first smartphone in the Redmi lineup to use a 32MP front camera sensor. The camera details remain scarce, however, there are speculations it might use Samsung’s 32-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GD1 sensor that was announced back in October last year. Previous teasers from the company’s official Twitter handle confirmed the device will come fitted with a 4,000mAh battery that is touted to last at least more than a day.

Full specs and pricing details will be made known on the launch date, though, the device is already listed on Amazon.in with a ‘Notify Me’ button.
