The Vivo Y17 was recently unveiled in India but it seems plans to introduce its more affordable sibling – Vivo Y15 – in the country at a sub-Rs 15,000 price point, as per a report by 91mobiles. It’s worth noting that the Vivo Y15 has not been officially introduced in any market and will be a new Y series phone intended to compete with the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Earlier rumours talked about a Vivo Y5 and Vivo Y3 launching in the country, instead, Vivo ended up debuting the Vivo Y17. It’s possible that the rumoured Vivo Y3 will be the Vivo Y15. Despite all this speculation, there’s no clue about the internals of the Vivo Y15. However, looking at its bigger sibling, we can get a sketch picture.
The Vivo Y17 comes with a 6.35-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a mammoth 5,000mAh battery further complemented with 18W fast charging. It is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC under the hood along with 4GB of RAM, and a massive 128GB built-in storage. The handset has a triple rear camera setup composed of a 13-megapixel f/2.2 primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. The front has a 20MP selfie sensor. exact launch dates are not known as of now but we expect a debut to be close.
