Xiaomi Mi 8 price crashes on Gome Mall: Gets a 950 yuan ($140) price cut

Yesterday, Chinese online store, Gome, crashed the price of the Xiaomi Mi 8 in its latest promotion. The Gome Mall page shows that the 6GB + 128GB version has dropped to 2049 yuan ($300), which is 950 yuan ($140) cheaper than its launch price. However, Gome Mall did not state when this promotion will end. Xiaomi Mi 8 is the company’s second 2018 flagship (the first is Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S), which was released on May 31, 2018. With more recent flagships like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Xiaomi Mi 9 series in the market, it is logical that the price of the Mi 8 drops significantly. Xiaomi Mi 8

This smartphone uses a 6.21-inch display and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It comes with a 20MP selfie camera coupled with a 12MP wide angle + 12MP telephoto dual rear camera. The main camera is a Sony IMX363 sensor and it uses a 3400 mAh battery.

In addition, Xiaomi Mi 8 is the world’s first smartphone to support dual-frequency GPS positioning. The dual-frequency combination can effectively solve the problem of single-frequency mobile phone positioning deviation. It is worth noting that this smartphone supports Game Turbo technology. The Game Turbo game acceleration function can fully optimize the hardware performance. Through smart scheduling of the CPU frequency, the CPU can run at a lower frequency in a less loaded scenario, reducing the system power consumption.
