Major OEMs have their say as 5G licenses hit the road in China

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 5G commercial licenses to China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Radio and Television. Now, major manufacturers have expressed their views on the 5G licenses which were issued today.

Huawei said that it started 5G research since 2009 and has invested a total of $2 billion in 5G technology and product research and development. Currently, it has the 5G capability from chip, product to system networking. It is also the only company in the world that can provide A communications enterprise for end-to-end 5G commercial solutions. Huawei will fully support Chinese operators to build China 5G with end-to-end comprehensive 5G capabilities.

OPPO responded that it is fully prepared for 5G commercialization and is confident to become the first domestic manufacturer to launch 5G mobile phones commercially.
