EMUI 9.1.0.123 brings “moon mode” & Ark Compiler to Mate 20 Series


Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, is currently working on software updates for a series of smartphones. As of now, the EMUI 9.1.0.123 is now available for the Huawei Mate 20 series. The smartphones for this update include Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche, Mate 20 X. Early adopters can now apply for an upgrade. Due to version restrictions, users need to upgrade to 9.1.0.120 or 9.0.0.200 (Mate 20 and Mate 20 X) / 9.0.0.201 (Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design) versions before getting the update. In addition, you need to have over 6GB of internal storage or risk update failure.

The EMUI 9.1.0.123 comes with “moon mode”. When shooting the moon, its master AI can automatically recognize the moon and activate the moon mode. This feature adjusts the parameters to the value suitable for shooting the moon (Mate 20 Pro/Mate 20 RS Porsche Design). At the same time, this update brings support for Huawei Ark compiler which improves system response performance and fluency. It comes with a new super file system (EROFS) performance innovation technology and improves application speed and smoothness.

In addition, the new version optimizes the camera effect of the front camera in low light conditions, reducing noise, and the color is more natural. It optimizes the face unlock function and fixes the malfunctioning of the “search” tab in settings.
