The smartphone maker has recently launched a new budget tablet dubbed Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 in the country. Like most of the tablets out there, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) comes in two variants – WiFi and LTE. The basic WiFi variant is priced at INR 9,999 (roughly USD 140). On the other hand, the LTE variant is a little pricier will set you back INR 11,999 (roughly USD 168). At the time of writing this article, the WiFi-only variant is up for pre-orders via Amazon India and Samsung’s official website. We’re expecting the tablet to hit the local stores by the end of this month.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) features an 8-inch TFT display having a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, 189 PPI density and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The large display makes this tablet a perfect companion for all your entertainment needs. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon  429 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB onboard memory. Sadly, there is no 64GB storage variant available. Although you can expand the storage via MicroSD slot by up to 1TB.

For casual photography, the tablet is equipped with a single 8MP rear camera while there is a 2MP front snapper on the front. You can use the front sensor for the occasional video calling and selfies. All of these is fueled by a massive 5100mAh battery packed inside. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) is running the latest version of Android operating system i.e. Android 9.0 Pie. For connectivity, the tablet comes with Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and USB 2.0 for charging. Apart from these, the LTE variant comes with a dedicated SIM slot supporting both 4G LTE and 3G networks.
