Huawei P30 patent applications reveal dual-tone design

Huawei P30

The European Patent Office has just received two new color options for the Huawei P30 handset. One keeps the gradient atmosphere but plays with a dual-tone approach. The second is completely dual-tone and quite resembles the Pixel 2 XL with its Panda design.

The blue-ish gradient version is a variation of the P30’s Breathing Crystal color variant. However, we can easily spot dual-tone treatment – the top third of the back is a separate panel. It’s a subtle effect, but it’s still there though. The “Panda” Huawei P30 revealed in this picture is what really outstands here with its black top and white bottom. We don’t need to say how this color option differs from the other “classic-premium-refined” options available for the P30. But still, it’s a different and amazing look for lovers of unusual designs.

Gizchina News of the week

The patents were filed back in May, before Huawei’s thunderstorm with U.S. government. They were published a few days ago, suggesting that Huawei could release them very soon. We wouldn’t be surprised if Huawei launches the new color options for the P30 along with the Mate 30 series unveiling at IFA 2019. Still, there are no indications that these colors will also be available for the P30 Pro variant.
