Vivo’s Z5 launched earlier this year was positively received by Chinese users. The smartphone did indeed go sold out at the first sale and it’s still selling very well in the Asian country. That is probably why the phone maker decided to release a new color variant of the device – say hello to the Vivo Z5 Speed Phantom.
Vivo Z5 Now Available in Speed Phantom Color Variant
The new device is now on sale over on Chinese e-store Jindong and it can be purchased on the website for 1598 Yuan, just over $220. But price drops to 1398 Yuan ($200) with the available coupons. Finally, the variant on sale comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Aside from the new Speed Phantom coloration, which is basically a shade of black, the handset does not bring any upgrades over the past variants. This means we find the same 6.38-inch water drop screen with a resolution of 2340×1080. It then packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and fueled by a large 4500mAh capacity battery; there’s support for 22.5W fast charging.
In the camera department we find three rear shooters. We have a primary 48MP sensor paired with a 8MP super wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. While on the front we find a 32MP high res selfie snapper. Camera software wise, the device features a technology called “Remosaic” to create ultra clear photos at 48MP res. Plus we have multi-frame noise reduction technology, Super HDR technology, Super Night View 2.0 and Super Backlighting.
Finally, the Vivo Z5 equips Multi-Turbo technology. This tech allows the smartphone to open apps faster and improve response times by 20%.
