Xiaomi MIUI customization layer has mixed opinions among users. It offers a different experience than what we usually see on stock Android. Providing a different way in the use of applications and notification handling.
In most versions of MIUI, Xiaomi usually includes its own suite of applications to customize the user experience. But now, it seems that Xiaomi will also borrow some Google apps.
In the future, Xiaomi devices sold outside of China, India or Indonesia will include Google Phone and Messages applications instead of their MIUI equivalents. Xiaomi says that this move has been made to comply with privacy laws and restrictions in certain regions. Which probably refers to regulations in the European Union.

Xiaomi has already incorporated these two Google applications into some of its phones. What this announcement means, therefore, is that all new devices sold in global markets will have these two applications out of the box.
Although some users would appreciate having the Google phone application, there is a disadvantage. Users will no longer have the option to record calls. The Google Phone application does not support call recording, while its MIUI equivalent does.

The European version of the new firmware bears MIUI V11.0.1.0.QFJEUXM build number. Worth noting that it includes the December Android security patch. The update brings the familiar Android 10 features such as better privacy and location controls as well as enhanced System-Wide dark mode. But that is just the basic, after all, MIUI 11 is an extensive custom Android skin with many features and visual changes.
MIUI 11 comes with overhauled visuals, natural sounds, and extra system stability. The camera also gets attention with features like super slow, super fast and smooth video recording. There are a TikTok filter and a smooth animation option.
