iPhone 12 Models To Come With Updated Face ID

Apple iPhone 12 Face ID

According to Barclays analysts Blaine Curtis, Thomas O’Malley, and Baylie Harri, the iPhone 12 models will come with the ‘updated’ front TrueDepth system. In other words, this indicates that the next-gen iPhone will improve Face ID. Unfortunately, none of the sources provides specific details.

Analysts also said that the rear camera system of the iPhone 12 Pro model will have 3D sensing based on the time of flight (ToF) solution. In fact, this is not anything new. We mean this rumor has been buzzing in the net for a long time. Anyways, they also expect the iPhone 12 Pro model to have 6GB of RAM. This is higher than the 4GB of the iPhone 11 Pro model.

Analysts said the biggest change is that they think Apple will remove the Lightning interface from at least one iPhone model in 2021. This statement is in line with Guo Minghao’s forecast shared last month. This also means the EarPods wired headphones will be no longer included in the box of the new machine.

Earlier, Guo Minghao has revealed that Apple plans to release five new iPhones in 2020. Among them, we should also mention the ‘iPhone SE 2’ (or ‘iPhone 9’), which is expected to hit the market as soon as at the end of March. Apart from this, there will be up to four high-end models supporting 5G. They should become available for purchase in the fall.

P.S. Face ID has been one of the biggest selling points of the iPhone X. So there is every reason to think the updated version of this feature will help the iPhone 12 perform well on the market.
