Xiaomi Mi 10 HEIF format reduces file size by 50% but image quality remains unchanged

Xiaomi officially announced today that the Xiaomi Mi 10 will use a 108-megapixel “Pro” imaging system to support functions such as HEIF format photos. To further explain what this means, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, also briefly introduced the HEIF photo format on Weibo. The Xiaomi Mi 10 108MP main sensor will have large output files. This will be a menace for some users. However, the HEIF photo format takes care of this.
