Stop buying masks, it does not prevent coronavirus – US DoH

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, it has slowly become a global epidemic. One item that has been of great demand is face masks. However, it appears that these masks are not as important as we think. A recent tweet from the U.S. Department of Health’s Office suggests that masks do not really prevent coronavirus. “Seriously, people-stop buying masks!” The agency reiterated that masks cannot help people avoid infection. However, the director of the US Department of Health (US DoH) said the masks should be left to medical staff.

Only coronavirus patients should wear masks

Before that, according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only those with symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) should wear a mask. This is a precautionary measure to help prevent the spread of the disease to others.

Therefore, the CDC in the US does not recommend that healthy people wear these masks. However, it recommends that the public wash their hands regularly and avoid touching their faces and rubbing their eyes with their hands.

According to US public health experts, health care workers may not be able to get enough masks to protect them from the virus. Today, masks in many stores sell out like wildfire in the US and many other countries. Most manufacturers are having trouble meeting demand.

Previously, the US Secretary of Health stated that the health department needs 270 million masks to respond to the pneumonia epidemic.  It also called on Congress to approve a $2.5 billion request for epidemic funding from the White House.

The US Secretary of Health, Alex Aza, said that the US currently has 30 million N95 masks in storage. However, the country currently needs 300 million masks. “It is unprecedented and possibly the most serious health challenge for the world,” Azhar said. However, this will certainly not stop the widespread purchase of the face masks.

Genius, incubation period is up to 14 days, how people may know they have coronavirus? China just cured because of masks (although some companies and speculants made billions on these goods)
