In the past few quarters, it’s no secret that Apple is picking up in the Indian market. Supported by consumer demand for more affordable phones (including iPhone XR and iPhone 11), Apple’s iPhone shipments in the Indian market increased by more than 55 percent between January and February 2020.

The data comes from a report from IANS, which also states that the outbreak of the coronavirus had no effect on iPhone supply and shipments during the first two months of this year. However, the full impact on coronaviruses needs to be assessed in March and beyond.

Interestingly, iPhone 11 and XR will contribute the most to iPhone shipments in the first two months of 2020. Many analysts believe that this is the result of the company’s shifting focus to “Made in India” and adjusting its pricing strategy, which undoubtedly meets the market of Indian consumer demand.

In addition to improving local manufacturing capabilities, Apple has also won the favor of customers with its prudent pricing and comprehensive channel strategy. Supported by the successful iPhone 11 and iPhone XR, Apple’s shipments increased by 17% in 2019.

In addition, Apple has made a huge contribution to the field of super smartphones (priced at Rs 100,000 and above), and the report states that it will grow by 23% in 2019. These latest data are of course good news for Apple. At present, it seems that Apple is entering multiple segments of the Indian smartphone market.
