With a lot of rumors and leaks, Mi 10 Youth Edition is now finally revealed officially. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G is the new phone that is released for the Chinese market. As the name suggests, the phone is targeted at the youth. The device comes with top-notch mid-range specifications and a variety of colors that surely will attract the teenagers. This device has some differences compared to its European version. The device that was launched for the European market is known as the Mi 10 Lite 5G. The major difference between both of the devices is in the camera segment, as the Mi 10 Youth Edition boosts a periscope camera.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition Specifications
The Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G features a 6.57″ AMOLED display with Pentile Pixel Configuration. The display allows up to 800 nits peak brightness. which is very high compared to other phones. The display also features HDR10+, DC dimming, and 180Hz Sampling Rate.
Talking about the camera segment, the device features a rear 48-megapixel main camera (OV48B2Q). Paired with 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, an 8-megapixel telephoto with 5X optical zoom, and finally a 2-megapixel macro. The phone offers 50X Zoom, while the Periscope lens offers 5X optical zoom. Interestingly, it has got OIS too. The device features a 16Mp front sensor on a teardrop notch. Although, it would have been very nice to see a punch hole sensor.
The device is powered by Snapdragon 765G, making it a 5G ready smartphone. Backed up by a 4060 mAH of battery, and 22.5W fast charging support. The device comes out of the box with Android 10. It has got a 3.5mm jack that offers Hi-Res Audio. In-display Fingerprint, NFC is also there.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition Price
Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition 5G comes in a total of 4 variants. The base variant boasts 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage priced at 2099 Yuan ($296). The other variants include – 6 + 128 GB, 8 + 128 GB and finally 8 + 256 GB. Priced at 2299 yuan, 2499 yuan, and 2799 yuan ($395) respectively. You can pre-order the device in China while it will be available from April 30 via online and offline stores.
The device is available in a variety of color options including White, Peach, Blue, Black, and Mint Green.
The price is actually aggressive, a $300 smartphone with top-notch mid-range specs., great display, and cameras. But the question is will it come to global markets?
Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom
As you know that the European version of Mi 10 Lite is actually not the Youth Edition launched today. The Youth Edition features better camera specifications as it comes with a periscope camera. Today in the live stream, the watermark of the images that were captured by the Mi 10 Youth Edition device had a different watermark. It said “Mi 10 Lite Zoom” and “AI Quad Cameras”. This clearly hints that the device will make its way to the global markets as Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom.
