Huawei P40 series is getting Huawei’s Celia voice assistant

Celia

Huawei revealed its own digital assistant to compete with the likes of Google Assistant and Siri. Huawei’s assistant is called Celia and after nearly a month of waiting, it is finally making way to the Huawei P40 flagship trio. The new software feature is arriving via a new update for Huawei P40 series bears EMUI 10.1.0.121 version number. The new firmware weighs in at 1.14GB and besides Celia, it also introduces April 2020 security update.

Celia is now integrating Huawei’s growing ecosystem. The digital assistant currently supports English, French and Spanish languages. Moreover, it’s currently exclusive to the UK, France, Spain, Chile, Mexico, and Columbia. It works similarly to all other assistants in the market. That means that you can set alarms, use the assistant and phone’s camera to translate text, search images, and products, and check the weather. To trigger the assistant you can use the “Hey Celia” command or hold down the power button.
