HTC U20 5G

Have you been thinking HTC will never launch new phones? If yes, you are confused. Today, the Taiwanese tech company announced two new series smartphones, namely the HTC U20 5G and the HTC Desire 20 Pro.

HTC’s current CEO Yves Maitres disclosed in October 2019 that HTC has stopped innovating in the hardware of smartphones. But he also said the focus will gradually shift to the VR business. In this sense, the last model of HTC was the HTC U12+ released on May 23 last year.

After a lapse of one year, HTC launched its first 5G smartphone the HTC U20 5G, and the previously rumored HTC Desire 20 Pro smartphone at the press conference today. We can’t say that with this move, the company will run back onto the tracks. But this is an important move, which shows the company still ‘breathes’.
