As scheduled, Samsung has now launched its budget Galaxy M31s smartphone in the Indian market. The all-new smartphone comes with 25W fast charging making it the company’s first device in this range to do so. Furthermore, the chaebol decided to bring some special features that you will find on premium devices to this budget offering. We’re talking about Single Take and Night Hyperlapse. Well, here is everything you need to know about the new smartphone.
Galaxy M31s: Price in India, Availability
Samsung Galaxy M31s comes in two different memory configurations – 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB options. The base model will arrive with a price tag of INR 19,499 (i.e. $260) while the top model will set you back INR 21,499 (i.e. $286). Just like the storage, the device also comes in two color options namely Mirage Black and Mirage Blue. Interested buyers will be able to purchase the smartphone from August 6 on Amazon India.
With pricing out of the way, let’s talk about what Galaxy M31s brings to the table. The Galaxy M31s is equipped with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. For added protection, there is a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Under the hood, the device runs on Exynos 9611 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage.
Just like most phones in this range, we’re looking at a quad rear camera setup housed inside a rectangular module. The large rectangular module houses a new 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, a 12MP 123-degree ultrawide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies and video calling, there is a single 32MP front shooter. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.
Falling in line with the leaks, the internals will get its juice from a massive 6,000 mAh battery with the support of 25W fast charging. Unlike the competitors, you will also get the 25W fast-charger bundled inside the box. Samsung is claiming that the device will take around 97 mins to charge from zero to 100%.
For biometrics, there is a fingerprint sensor on the side. Lastly, the device runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.1 skin on top. With that said, the launch of Galaxy M31s might confuse the potential buyers between the new variant and the regular Galaxy M31. To help you with that, we will soon publish our comparison on the same.
