Patents reveal two possible designs for future Realme Smartwatches

Realme Watch

One month ago, Realme made its big debut in the market of smartwatches. The company is constantly evolving its range of products in order to make it stands as a “lifestyle” brand and not just a smartphone company. The company even released a set of smart TVs to expand its portfolio. In the next months, we should keep seeing a huge plethora of products in the coming months. Of course, among these products, we’ll have smartwatches. Today, proof of upcoming designs were revealed by the Chinese Patent Office.

Two designs were filed with the Chinese Patent Office and these new designs share a lot of similarities with the first Realme smartwatch. In case you’re wondering, both of them feature a square Apple Watch-like design. Worth noting that the first design seems to be identical to the first smartwatch. However, upon closer inspection, we are capable of spotting some differences. The display appears to be a tad smaller and the button is higher up. Moreover, the sensor bump on the back is now square.

Moving on to the second patent design, we have a bit of color to the front for a two-tone look. Moreover, the button on the side is round. It could be an indication of a crown design that you can rotate.

These designs could be iterations of the first Realme Watch

Both designs present different straps. There is one with a buckle and one push-to-fit. The Original watch also came with different straps depending on the region. Of course, you should digest these designs with a pinch or two of salt. After all, patents are not the final proof that a product is coming, they can be discarded in the future. Moreover, they can even be early iterations of the recently released Realme Watch.

Worth noting that the document following these patents indicate that Realme had applied for this patent back in December 2019. However, the authorization letter has only been issued this month. So they can be, in fact, early iterations of the actual Realme Watch.

The time will tell if these are discarded designs or a preview of upcoming Realme smartphones. Worth noting that the company will be attending IFA 2020 early in the next month. We expect new products apart from smartphones to land in the annual trade fair.
