During the past few days, we’ve heard a buzz regarding a new Oppo smartphone dubbed Oppo F17 Pro. The new device comes for the mid-range segment packing some advanced technologies. Today, the company decided to update its official teaser page with the official launch date. In seven days from now – September 2 at 19:00 IST – Oppo will be unveiling the Oppo F17 with AMOLED panel and Quad-Camera setup.
Oppo F17 Pro rumored specifications
As per leaked info, the Oppo F17 Pro weighs just around 164g and has 160.14 x 73.7 x 7.48 mm overall dimensions. The phone will be available in six distinct colors. We have three names confirmed – Matte Black, Magic Blue, and Metallic White. For the display, the phone houses a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with support for Full HD+ resolution. This panel follows 2020 standards with a pill-shaped cutout housing the dual-selfie module – a 16MP unit plus a depth sensor. Moving around to the back, we have a Square-ish island comprising a primary 48MP shooter plus 8MP, 2MP, and 2MP snappers.

Under the hood, the phone will pack the MediaTek Helio P95 chipset rather than a Dimensity or Helio G chip. The phone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage. It also draws power from a rather large 4,000mAh battery with 20W VOOC Flash Charge support. According to reports, the phone will have a starting price below INR 25,000 – $335 or €280.
Worth noting that the company is also preparing a vanilla variant for the Oppo F17 series. However, it’s unclear if the company will release both devices on the same date.

On the other hand, the OPPO F17 weighs at just 163 grams and measures 159.82 x 72.8 x 7.45mm. Its color variants include three colors namely Dynamic Orange, Navy Blue, and Classic Silver. A 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with waterdrop notch is available on the OPPO F17. For the optics, there is a front camera of 16-megapixel and its rear has a 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system.
Unfortunately there still no details regarding the chipset giving power to this handset. However, early rumors suggest the presence of a Snapdragon 662. Similarly, we’ll have a 4,000mAh battery giving power complete with a 30W VOOC charging system. The phone will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage.
