Chinese manufacturer, OnePlus, has been positioned as a flagship brand that released a few phones annually. However, with the current market trends, the company is now registering its presence in the mid-range market. Its first mid-range smartphone, OnePlus Nord, is already official outside China. There have been reports that the company is working on another mid-range smartphone (OnePlus Clover). However, it appears that the company is working on a plethora of smartphones, ranging from entry-level to high-end.
Now, it seems that OnePlus is preparing to launch a new smartphone whose internal code is “Lemonade”. This is not the first time that OnePlus will be using codenames for its upcoming devices. We have seen the likes of OnePlus Clover, OnePlus Billie, and OnePlus Kebab. While Kebab refers to the OnePlus 8T, Billie is a mid-range device with Snapdragon 690 chip. As for OnePlus Clover, it will be the company’s first-ever entry-level smartphone.
According to a twitter user OneNormalUser, there seems to be a total of five variants of OnePlus Lemonade. They include lemonade, lemonadep, lemonadept, lemonade, and lemonadev. As of now, this is about all that is available on the OnePlus Lemonade. There is no way of knowing if this device is an entry-level, mid-range, or high-end smartphone.
However, we expect to hear more about this smartphone (or smartphones) in the coming weeks. Do well to keep a tab with us.
