Oppo X 2021 has passed the 100,000 cycles test without any damage

This week, Oppo unveiled its first foldable smartphone, dubbed the Oppo X 2021, moreover, the manufacturer did not only show concept art, but also a real working prototype.

What’s more, the company said the device is more durable than one might imagine. During the presentation, the company’s design engineer Jin Xiang spoke about the impressive capabilities of the Oppo X 2021, stating that the smartphone has passed extensive tests and showed excellent results.

He noted that the phone has passed 100,000 tests to open and close the structure without any damage. The head of the Oppo hardware department also added that this result is not the limit for the smartphone; and it can continue to do its job further.

It turns out that if you open the screen and fold it 50 times a day; the smartphone will work without problems for more than 5 years without any damage. The Oppo X 2021 has yet to go on sale as there are still several issues to be addressed. According to rumors, the expected date for this smartphone is the end of 2021, as the display is being finalized.

This smartphone has a BOE OLED screen, which can be pulled out of the body, increasing the viewable diagonal from 6.7 inches to 7.4 inches. To enlarge the display, you need to swipe your finger across the touch area on the side, which takes about 3 seconds.

This will bring more possibilities for productivity, entertainment, and daily use. You can enjoy the experience of a large screen when watching movies and reading. In addition to the full screen during playing games, you can also display message dialogues in the expanded area.
