At the 2020 Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit held a few days ago, a new generation of Android flagship chips was officially unveiled. However, the first thing that caught everyone’s attention was not its performance, but the unexpected naming. According to Qualcomm, the naming of this chip is related to China. Qualcomm revealed that 14 smartphone OEM manufacturers are developing smartphones based on Snapdragon 888. Interestingly, most of these manufacturers are Chinese. OnePlus is one of these manufacturers and we expect the OnePlus 9 to come with this chip.

The new OP9 series will include at least two models – OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. It uses a very popular matrix camera module. This module includes two large sensors and a small sensor making up the triple rear camera setup. It will also come with an LED flash. There are also reports that this series will also use a dual main camera setting similar to OnePlus 8 Pro. However, we expect the specific parameters to be better on the OP9 series.

OnePlus 9 series speculations
According to previous speculations, we are expecting the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in this series. While the former will use a 6.55-inch FHD screen, the latter will use a 6.8-inch QHD screen. Of course, the entire series will come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. This chip is a 5nm processor which adopts the “1+3+4” eight-core design. Its GPU part integrates Adreno 660, and the performance is higher than its predecessor.
In addition, the OnePlus 9 will also support 65W flash charging and 40W wireless charging.
