Honor MagicBook Pro 2021 is officially presented


Just a couple of months after independence, Honor announced its new laptop called the Honor MagicBook Pro 2021.

Unlike the previous HonorBook, which was running an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor, the new model runs an Intel Core i5-10210U processor and an Nvidia GeForce MX350 graphics accelerator.

The Honor MagicBook Pro 2021 features a 16.1-inch Full HD display with 100 percent sRGB color space. The laptop received 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe solid-state drive.

In addition, the device has a pop-up webcam for video calling. The laptop received three USB-A ports, one USB-C and one HDMI, as well as a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

The laptop is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner, which is built into the computer’s power button. In terms of battery life, the Chinese company claims that with a 56 Wh battery, the laptop can last up to 11.5 hours on a single charge. A 65W power supply comes in the box, which should provide a 50% charge in about 30 minutes. The laptop cost about $ 1,000.

Honor and MediaTek may commence business soon

According to a report from CBN, MediaTek said this afternoon that it has cooperated with many OEM manufacturers and is committed to bringing leading technology to customers around the world. Furthermore, the company said, “at present, Honor is a newly established independent company, and we are evaluating the current situation”. The Chinese manufacturer has been using MediaTek chips in the past. Thus, if all goes well, we expect to see Honor and MediaTek doing business again.

There are also reports that Honor already has a device with a MediaTek processor, The report claims that this device will hit the market in mid-2021. However, MediaTek did not respond to this speculation. Of course, we are expecting the launch of the HonorV40. The popular speculation is that it will use the Dimensity 1000+ SoC which is MediaTek’s latest flagship processor.

By January 12th, we will know the true situation of things. The company will officially release the Honor V40 and reveal the chip it uses. There are also reports that it will also unveil four other products. In addition, the company has officially confirmed that the Honor Mall will be officially launched on the same January 12.
