Realme Narzo 30 series coming next week, Narzo series cross 3 million shipments

Realme Narzo 30

Despite the ongoing pandemic that greatly ravaged the smartphone market in the first quarters of 2020, Realme managed to keep its place as the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand. The company has kept its place in the market with a huge amount of smartphones for the mid-range and low-end segment. Moreover, it further established its presence in the flagship segment with a series of interesting smartphones. For the first months of 2020, the brand has a set of new phones to uncover. According to a new report, some of the first phones will come under the Realme Narzo 30 series.

Today, Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO, has just revealed the brand has sold over 3 million affordable Narzo phones since the series’ introduction in May 2020. Moreover, he revealed the retail box for the Narzo 30 lineup will be blue. This was actually chosen by Realme fans that voted in a public poll on Twitter. Although the company didn’t confirm when the Narzo 30 series will reach the market, some industry sources state that it will arrive before the end of the month, between February 21 – 28.

Interestingly, Madhav Sheth revealed that the cost for a 5G phone goes below the threshold established by the Realme X7. This handset reached India with an INR19,999 price tag. The CEO asked his followers whether 5G phones should be “more economical”. He obviously is hinting at the Realme Narzo 30 phones, which will be the first 5G phones for the series.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro appeared on TENAA with 5G connectivity. The authority also confirmed Android 11 OS straight out of the box. This means that Realme UI 2.0 and all its goodies will be running on top. The phone will come with a 6.5-inch display that likely belongs to the LCD kind. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which basically confirms these claims. Hopefully, it will have a high-refresh-rate with at least 90Hz. Moreover, it draws power from a 4,880mAh rated battery that probably has a 5,000mAh typical capacity.

Unfortunately, we still have no clue of which chipset will be used in this phone. Realme may stick with the partnership established with MediaTek and its Dimensity lineup. Interestingly, Realme teasers seem to be suggesting a gaming smartphone. So we’re not only expecting a capable 5G chip but a decent SoC for gaming. Moreover, the brand is also preparing a bunch of Narzo-branded gaming accessories. The list includes a Keyboard, Mouse, and an Air Controller.

Worth noting that the device’s appearance at TENAA may also suggest the launch in the country. The Realme Narzo 30 is a series that has been exclusive to India. But we wouldn’t be surprised to see Realme bringing it to other markets due to the popularity of Narzo’s name.
