The OnePlus Strix G15 — better known as the
Gun God controller — currently works exclusively with the Ace 6 Ultra. That's about to change. The OPPO Shop product page
has confirmed a June expansion adding four more devices to the compatibility list: OnePlus 15, Ace 6, Ace 6T, and Turbo 6.
The controller itself is unlike anything else in the mobile gaming space. And most people still haven't seen it properly explained.
Key Points
- OnePlus Strix G15 (Gun God controller) expanding official support in June to OnePlus 15, Ace 6, Ace 6T, and Turbo 6 — confirmed via the OPPO Shop product page
- Currently exclusive to the Ace 6 Ultra — the June update will likely require a software update on each compatible device
- No thumbsticks, no D-pad, no ABXY buttons — the Strix G15 has only four micro-mechanical trigger buttons on the back, a 1,000Hz polling rate, and a 1.8ms response time
- Telescopic design adapts to different phone sizes — connects via USB-C with passthrough charging support and a magnetic slot for the OnePlus 40W Super Freezing Point cooler
- Weighs 150 grams in an all-white finish — priced at 449 yuan (~$62) in China
What the Strix G15 Actually Is
The name "Gun God" — a direct translation of the Chinese 枪神 (qiāng shén), gamer slang for an elite FPS player — tells you exactly who this controller is targeting. It's not a general gaming accessory. It's built specifically for competitive first-person shooters like PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Delta Force.
The design reflects that focus. Traditional mobile controllers add thumbsticks and face buttons to supplement touch input. The Strix G15 does something different — it clips onto the phone, leaves the screen fully open for touch controls, and adds four physical micro-mechanical buttons on the back where your fingers naturally rest during two-handed play. The result is a device that feels less like a game controller and more like a grip upgrade with triggers.
A built-in esports-grade antenna enhances wireless connectivity during online matches. The magnetic slot on the back accepts the 40W Super Freezing Point cooler — keeping sustained gaming sessions from thermal throttling.
Why the June Expansion Matters
The Ace 6 Ultra is a high-end China-only device. Expanding Strix G15 support to the OnePlus 15 — which ships globally — opens the controller to a significantly larger audience. The Ace 6, Ace 6T, and Turbo 6 cover different price points in the OnePlus gaming ecosystem, making the peripheral accessible beyond the flagship tier.
A software update will almost certainly be required for each device to unlock full functionality. Physical connection via USB-C is possible already on some of these phones, but complete button mapping and polling rate optimization needs OS-level support.
OnePlus 13 owners are notably absent from the June list — a gap that will frustrate users of the previous flagship generation.
