Vivo S9 5G promo reveals the key features of the device

We will see a lot of new devices launching this month. One of them is Vivo S9 5G. The reason to get excited about Vivo S9 5G is the Dimensity 1100 processor. Earlier we saw the GeekBench listings of this phone showing that it will be powered by Dimensity 1100 SoC. It will be the first phone to come with this chipset. As we are near launch, the company has released a promo video of the phone giving us more insight.

The promo video was posted on Weibo as the phone will be launching in China. We already saw the leaked design of the phone but the promo video gives us more details. First of all, the notch is there. I don’t prefer this wide iPhone-like notch. The punch-hole notch is the standard till the companies polish the under-display camera tech. But Vivo is still using the old notch. One of the reasons for using this notch is the dual selfie camera.

The S-series of Vivo has some great capabilities and this phone will also keep the DNA from its predecessors. The Vivo S7 5G from last year featured a 44MP+8MP dual selfie camera setup. While this one will also include the 44MP selfie camera. The promo video also shows the rear of the device and it features a square camera module. It looks bold and the device itself looks premium. Well, the selfie is not the only highlight of the device. More than half of the promo video focuses on the performance of the Vivo S9 5G.

According to the video, the Vivo S9 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 1100 chipset. MediaTek recently unveiled this processor. It is based on TSMC’s 6nm process.  The CPU consists of 4 2.6GHz A78 cores and 4 2GHz A55 cores. The GPU is the ARM G77 MC9. This chip supports dual-channel UFS 3.1, And to take advantage of it, the Vivo S9 5G also supports the UFS 3.1 storage. Dimensity 1100 is strong for the given price and it also supports 5G connectivity.

There is also a cheaper model coming that will be called Vivo S9e. It features Dimensity 820 processor and a 32MP selfie camera instead of the 44MP that is used on the elder brother. Vivo all-set to launch these devices on March 3rd in China. Let us know what do you think of this selfie camera and performance-oriented devices in the comments section below.

Vivo came up with a powerful option in the mid-range with a flagship mediatek 6nm chipset. Good job.
